Our Coffees

Four lots, one mountain story.

Each lot carries its own expression of land, harvest, and family work — grown on Yich Ho', the house of the giant eagle legend.

Kawa’

Kawa’

Region: Jacaltenango, Huehuetenango

Varietals: Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra

Process: Washed

Harvest Season: February – May

Kawa — meaning "lots of water" in Popti' — sits on the foothills of Wi'oh Mountain, on land that once fed cattle before the López family reshaped it into a coffee forest. Home to Caturra, Bourbon, and Catuai, this washed lot carries that same restlessness in the cup: dark cherry and warm chocolate up front, with a clean, citrus-bright finish.

Harvest Season: February – May

The oldest of Autelom's lots, Ranchitos takes its name from the jacales — small storage houses — that once stood here, back when families sowed milpa on this land before coffee took root. This plot grew from distinct seeds gifted to our grandfather, Don Juan López (Katlamun), becoming a plot whose variety speaks to friendship and ecological diversity.

Named after Saint Joseph — patron and protector of the fields, chosen by our grandfather — this plot holds two worlds in the same soil, where the Maya landscape of Wio' Mountain, the house of the giant eagle, coexists with a Catholic saint. A plot nourished by the syncretism between both worlds.
